Labour Market Information (LMI) Matrix

This LMI Matrix provides a broad range of data and statistics on Justice Sector labour market information and skills research. As well as presenting LMI for the Justice sector as a whole, data is also provided at sub-sector / strand level. The six sub-sectors / strands regarded as making up the Justice sector are: Police & Law Enforcement; Forensic Services; Prosecution Services; Courts & Tribunal Services; Custodial Care and Community Justice. As of April 2009 Fire and Rescue Services have become part of the Skills for Justice footprint. Labour market information relating to this strand will be incorporated into the Matrix later in 2009.

How to use the Matrix

Data is provided on the topics listed below. Click on the relevant hyperlink to go straight to the data table you are interested in. Where sub-sector / strand data (e.g. Custodial Care data) is presented within a data table, you can see how these figures have been collated and derived by referring to the more detailed strand tables that sit behind the main Matrix (the back end tables). To see these back end tables, click on the relevant hyperlink that heads up each strand column in the Matrix tables.

Please note that the Matrix is still in development and not all the data tables and associated back end documents are fully populated. The data currently in the Matrix will be regularly updated / refreshed, and more data will be incorporated as it becomes available.
